The Balloon Lake Run is going to be a fun and attractive event. We will have an exciting start with colored fog at the beginning of the race, followed by donuts, bananas, and chocolate milk at the finish line. You can take a personal photo of yourself standing by the giant heart in the Pavilion at the end of the race to show your friends how big your heart is. Maybe you will be the lucky winner of one of our excellent prizes. We also have accessible wristbands available to wear in remembrance of loved ones we have lost to drugs or other health issues. Additionally, we offer free t-shirts, finisher medals, and a measured certified course with timing. The run will take place around the lake on a fantastic day that is expected to be neither too hot nor too cold. You will enjoy the colorful fall scenery with the sunrise on the lake. We have special prizes for winners in the half marathon and children under 17 in the four-mile race. All runners will receive a finisher medal. As a unique activity, a raffle balloon will pop from 8:30 to 11:30, symbolizing the release of our collective grief and the unity we find in remembering our loved ones. This race is more than just a run; it's a day to come together, remember, and raise funds for educational resources to teach children about the dangers of drugs.
