The balloon Release run is going to be fun and very attractive. We will have an exciting start with colored fog at the start of the race, bagels, and chocolate milk at the end of the race. Free balloons will be tied down on the crowd control rails when you leave and available when you finish or go home. Balloons are not allowed in the Pavilion because if they are let loose, they are hard to get out of the rafters. So please secure you balloon in your car or grab one before you go if you plan on going into the Pavilion for a snack or the award ceremony. You can take a personal photo of yourself standing by a giant heart in the Pavilion at the end of the race to show off to your friends on what a big heart you have. Or maybe you will be the winner of one of the nice prizes. We will have free wristbands to wear to remember a loved one you may have lost to drugs or any other health issue. We have free t-shirts, finisher medals, and a measured certified course with timing. The run is by the lake on a fantastic day that will likely not be too hot or cold. We will have special prizes for those who will win in the half marathon and prizes for children under 17 in the four-mile race. All runners will receive a finisher medal. This race has many extras to unite us for a particular loss of a loved one day and raise money for books to teach children the dangers of drugs.
